A vinaigrette is the classic dressing for Cobb salad. We use a homemade balsamic vinaigrette here. If you want to replace the dressing, our Avocado Ranch or Jalapeno Ranch work well. If you are using a creamy ranch dressing, I would recommend using feta cheese instead of blue cheese.
Can I make Cobb salad in advance?
You can prepare the salad and dressing 2 to 3 hours before dinner. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator. Keep the salad and dressing separate until ready to serve. Here are some tips for preparation:
Dressing – Make this in a mason jar so you can give it a good shake just before serving if it comes loose. Serve it straight from the mason jar.
